Pre-Workout Meal TRUTH

Jun 18, 2014

Pre-Work Meals:  Most of us have had the understanding that increasing carbs before a workout using energy drinks, energy bars, etc. would increase energy for your workout and burn fat.  This is simply not true.  Increased carbs that increase blood sugar produces insulin.  Insulin is lipogenic which mean fat storing.  So, if more insulin is produced more fat is stored and your body begins to burn the increased sugars and carbs instead of fat.  Protein and fiber pre-workout meals yields the fat burning results.
